Jaymay - 1 & !

New York singer-songwriter Jaymay returns for her first release since 2008′s Autumn Fallin’ LP in an odd fashion. 1 & ! is an iTunes exclusive collection of 3 songs, each less than 1 minute long. She has also recently released a slightly longer 12 minute EP on iTunes as well, which I’ll get to later. 1 & ! contains three lovely songs, each for acoustic guitar (and piano on track 1 ) and Jaymay’s distinctive voice. These songs are like snippets, fragments, hints of what is yet to come. Feeling like unfinished bits of songs, with the second half of track 2 just humming and each song ending suddenly. The title track is a really beautiful song which, like the best Jaymay songs, can be listened to over and over again, as she draws you in with her enchanting vocals.
