and all manner of thing shall be well

All shall be well

And all shall be well

And all manner of thing shall be well

Mother Julian of Norwich

Every few months I think about starting a blog. So now I figure it is a good time to begin.

I first saw this quote many years ago in a frame on a wall. I was attracted to it for various reasons: its absurdity, its use of repetition, its use of the singular “thing” instead of “things”, and of course, the fact that the author and I share the same name, despite being a different gender.

For now, I don’t know what this blog will encompass, or indeed, if anyone will actually read it. But its a start.
