It’s been a while I’ve done a Great Game Covers post. And this time it’s one of my favourites and one of the few I have out on display, not just a spine in a bookshelf. It’s Electroplankton on the Nintendo DS. Created by Toshio Iwai and published by Nintendo in 2005. This original Japanese release came in a nice thick slipcase housing the game cover and a set of poor blue headphones. I love the shiny blue case and the small glittery plankton. Really makes the game stand out on a shelf. I also love the fact they list the game creator on the front cover. This is a great game cover and unfortunately now the game has been reduced to being sold it bite-sized fragments on DSiWare, thus a lot of people will go without.
